Tutu Cake Messy Process

well i am here today to share something funny..Yesterday i was soooo lazy.. i had a nap, and when i woke i was walking as if i had no bones.. then mum asked me to cut chicken and onions and i did, then she said u r not even asking how i am today, wats wrong with you, last few days every hr u came and ask now u dont care(she is kinda ill, ear infection.).. so i was like nothing like that, tell me wassup … and she said nvm its okay u go, i said tell, what help u want.. she said nothing i am going to make puttu(aka tutu cake) , u cant do i will do said mum.. then she looked at me said can u make puttu with a mischievous smile on her face, saying can u make puttu.. i gave her a look…and she started laughin…then i decided…. i was like u watch me !… i made water boil, put the flour in bowl, put salt then poured water in.. then i got stuck.. i was like having a flash back of what mum does, all i remembered was her using the cup and banging inside the bowl to make the puttu into small sized round dough..but i missed out a big step

your suppose to squeeze the flour together in like small chunks.. which i didnt do, i just started banging the cup into a bowl which had flour and then flour went all over the place.. mum had a good laugh … but i never stopped aloth she kept on stopping me, i was like mum watch me

then made in small chunks… then got the cup and did the banging part… then put it to cook.. then i told amma not to touch it.. and she got frozen cocunut powder out and snapped it and was abt to put it into the pot thing.. i stopped her and gave her a how dare u look .. she just laughed and handed it over.. and then i cooked it.. it was successful

i was indeed messy process, but fun.

i said mum i wasted a lot of flour right.. she said its okay.. i said dw mum i’ll give u money.. she said did i ask you for money.. i said dw mum even if you ask i will not give …

P.S: it was sooooo messy that the flour covered the whole table and covered my cardigan, but now i know how to make puttu.

Intro

right so here i am back, with a new category called vasantham.. vasantham is a local tamil channel in singapore. i was introduced to two serials one called Nijangal series 2 and one called Vettai 2.0… so you might be wondering why i am calling this category vasantham instead of serials or whatever it could be, because i think i might be getting a bit tooo addicted that i will be watching their dance shows and next year their singing show… dunno depends on how much time i have i will have to decided.. bu yea… recently i have been going crazy over these serials and expressing my views on Facebook, and it gets flooded by two good close friends … one that got me addicted and the other that i got him addicted to..

so there may be a few reading, o here goes, another serial paithiyam.. please if u told me to watch any vijay tv or sun tv serials i would run away… so i had the same opinion of serials untill i watched these.. and by the by, i used to watch Kana kanum kalangal, i quit like 3-4 weeks ago.. they dont seem to have any idea of ending the serial, they are TRYING to make it a ‘MEGA’ serial, but they utterley flopped and are flopping, cuz all they are doing is going round and round in circles.. so yea stopped watching that crap.

however all vasantham serials are 72 episodes…sounds good huh? BUT NO ! cuz thats tooo short for me, amazing script writers ! i have no clue on how i will survive after they end, esp i think nijangal will end NEXT WEEK !uhff.. have i not changed your mind yet about serials?.. then keep reading.

few months back i blogged about a interview that i attended, and my friend naz asked me if i was successful, and i said no because they had not contacted me. please read the previous post before reading this

i have this bad habbit, i never check my voicemails, i dont know why, i dont leave voicemails or listen to them. and one day, i was staring into space, and it turned out to be my phone that i was staring at, so because i was sooo bored i decided to check and delete the voice mails.. and i was deleting them and then next one.. Hello, we are from amadeus blah blah blah we would like to work with you next year. :O . OMG !! i was soo damn happy that i was running around the house crazy . hehe, whats so funny is that i checked the voicemail like a month later i think .. so yeah i was very excited. the moral of this story is MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR VOICEMAIL !!

keke so yea, i was waiting for them to contact me, and then they emailed me saying they want me to come in for an accreditation. Accreditation? what on earth is that?? google!!! even after i searched i still didnt get it! yes, i hear you all shouting tubelight. WHATEVER. . i didn’t how i should dress up or anything. so yea it was today, and so i dressed kinda smart, took my passport, national insurance number, and proof of address. they made me fill out forms with all my details, and then they took a picture of me. (naz, this is what i wanted to tell you yesterday )

the bad thing is that i need to catch the train, it is 23 train stations from where i live. NOW THAT IS FAR ISN’T IT? well it took me 1hr.. so not bad… but if im gonna go there everyday… it’s gonna be a very hard job persuading my mum to let me go :S, i have no clue how i am gonna do that, but yea.. i cant miss this chance.. i mean, i applied just for that cupcake, was myself at the interview, and i got the job, infact i can’t say i found the interview challenging at all, it was soo informal. i can’t just let this chance go because it’s a lil far, working for the olympics, exciting! thrilling! i mean i cant wait !

they have asked me to come in for training on the 29th.. and i will be paid for that ..

so soon, i will get back to yo on how the training goes

All for a cupcake

before naz comes and kills me, i think i should blog about what i was going to tell her, and then stopped…well well well, its a long story, i will shorten it as much as i can so that i dont keep you reading for hours.

Basically it all started with a business trip that my class went on, that day i remember wasnt such a great day.. i met up with a friend called Ruth and then another friend called sonmeet. we were waiting for the bus, (we had to go to the train station, thats were the class was meeting up). so we were waiting for a bus, school times right very busy hours, each bus that came was packed and wouldnt let us on, it took soo long for us to catch a bus. we got scared that we are late and they are gonna leave without us.

we then got to the station, and guess what??!! the teacher wasnt even there, we were rushing ourselves for no reason, we then waited agessssssss nearly like an hr for the teacher. the teacher was ill, so we had two supply teachers to take us. so we got the train and when we arrived to the place we were going to and got to the location we were visiting, the security guard said your one hour early come back in hour !! so the teacher was like ohh ok, so the teacher said to us, go and have a look around the city, but be back within an hr. we went in shopping centres, shops, if only i had brought some money i could of brought somethin, then we went tesco and brought cookies and then the hr finished, we went back to the meeting point.

they told us to stand in the line, we stood there for like 10mins and then they told us that we are in the wrong queue. then we queued up in a different place, but then turned out to be the wrong queue as well after 5 mins. then we went back to the line we came from and that waas the correct line. uhhhfff…how tiring. they then let us in.

this place is basically where companies set up little little stores and you apply for jobs, if they like your application they will interview you, after a few weeks. so we all split up,going around to each stall with our friend groupls, and we applied nearly everywhere, and then after one hour we(me,ruth,sonmeet) got tired, and something caugh our attraction?? what was it? something that we reallyy wanted. well, basically when u apply at each company, they will give u some sort of freebie. a freebie is when someone gives u something for free, we had collected loads of freebies but the freebie the man had we really wanted !! guess what it was??!! CUPCAKE !! we started searching for which company. we FINALLY found it, it was fun being a detective … so we just applied for the sake of getting the cupcake.

then after sometime our trip was over and we went home, mins passed, days passed, weeks passed..

then one saturday morning i was revising for maths, and my phone was next to me, and when anu was seriously studying i got disturbed. (naan padichu pass agi kumbagonam manthiree agurthu yarukooo pidikala) Boss engira baskiran dialouge edited. i answered the phone
Me:Hello
Opposite: Hello, may i speak to Miss Anusa
Me: thinks(who is this speaking so formally) yes speaking, who’s this
Opposite: we are calling from amadeus blah blah blah.. we saw your application and we would like to interview.
(do you guys know what company this is? it’s the cupcake company !! i didnt even dream of getting an interview there cuz i applied for the sake of the cupcake)
Me: oh, ok yea sure what’s the procedure?
Opposite: i will send you an email, can u read that and reply please?
Me: yea, sure. thank you.
Opposite: ok then bye
Me: bye

then my mum asked me who it was. i had to explain everthing to her.
then i thought but i have no experience why would they pick me? so i thought i’ll ask my bro for advise and then take a next step. so i waited and asked my bro, he said go for it. so i replied to that guy saying yea, and booked a time for the interview.

i made up my mind to go with an attitude were i thought to myself, if i get the job GREAT, if not GREAT too, experience teaches a lesson.
that day came..

luckily i wasnt late. i arrived there, there was 4 other people with me it was a group interview. we had three activities to do. and two observers.

Activity 1: build a tower out of uncooked spagetti.
Activity 2: introduce yourself and why u should get this job, experiences
Activity 3: they played this video and we had to spot what the person in the video was doing wrong.
after that we were allowed to ask any questions.
it look one hour, the interview.
i normally dont speak well with people i dont know, but i thought hold on, these people i dont even know, its not like im ever gonna meet them again, so why should i care, and throughout the interview i was one of the dominating ones, im not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but i loved the experience.

the interview was fine, then i met up with mum after the interview and shared the experience with her.

then when i came home, was dead tired, ate, and slept.
i was suppose to make this short, but more than 1000 words, so sorry.

they said that the will get back to us on if we get the job or not by phone, so we’ll see, as i said if i get the job, cool, if not cool too

7am Arivu

hello everyone, long time no see… well just now i watched 7am arivu .. before watching the film i had negative reviews and positive reviews from friends. so i was like okay let me not risk wasting my money going to the cinema, because i was planning to go to the cinema for this movie but because of mixed reviews i didn’t go. i watched it online.

The film is acted by Surya and Shurthi hassan, the film released 26th October 2011 for diwali, directed by A.R. Muragadas.

In fact being a tamil, i did not know who it was untill i watched it, and i feel very shameful of not knowing a legend.

the film itself was pretty good and interesting, it is different to what we have seen, i will not say it is the level of endhiran, but it is an attempt, for some reason people may have felt that velayudum is better than 7am arivu but i felt that 7am was different whereas velayudum was a story that we have seen many times, i am not saying that velayudum is bad or anything, but storyline was kinda seen few times.

what i loved about 7am arivu is that the film makes and will make each and every tamil PROUD. the way surya bigs up Tamil eealam/sri lanka is amazing, because 7am arivu team is in india, and there is a dialouge which pretty much is against india, ‘ Veerathukum Dhorkathukum Vithiyasam Theringchuko, Oru tamilanai 9 Nadugal Sernthu Konuthuku Per Veeram Illa, Dhorgam.’ I just love that dialogue and that scene. i felt the movie is a movie that all tamil should watch and make it a hit. Another scene i found soo cute, it when shurthi and surya are out on the street and shurthi says to surya dont go to sleep and she goes to sleep, and when she is asleep he checks her phone out and watches a video of her and he jumps and screams, he screamed so lloud that a dog far away responded, he was like shh shh and his smile was damn cute then. i just that scene and then the way he somehow manages to hide it from her.

talking about the songs, hmm songs werent so great.. but i like 3 of them, they were mun anthi, oh ringa ringa, yellama..

overall it was a very very nice film, i loved it surya. from now on, i will try my best to watch all surya films in the cinema, yar enna sonalum. his next film is maatran with kajal.. and after that if im not wrong there will be singam 2 with amala paul.

Representation of women in media

Women these days are being represented as sex objects and nothing more in the media. Women have their own rights to chose what they wear and what they do. The selfish, stupid meaningless rappers in front of the women in video songs ain’t needed to decide for us and don’t need to from now on as well

Many stereotypes have been created by the media which has a great impact on the teenagers these days, its caused problems like anorexia. Taught teenagers to dress up like senseless idiots. The media has said in many ways and represents women as slaves which links back to our suffragettes, the suffragettes won us the equal rights and voting rights but it all goes back in the drain after women being shown as sex objects in the media. Nowadays women are not treated seriously. It symbolises women in a very negative way.

Women in media are always seen as ‘sexy,’ ‘hot,’ ‘slim,’ and ‘perfect,’ which causes a unrealistic status of women , this causes problems in the society because it makes the people who watch the video think that they are not good looking and make them anorexic  and feel concerned about how they look and how they are.

On the other the hand this issue shouldn’t be taken seriously because women do have equal rights in the law, they can chose their own destiny and pick their own role. There’s a trend over the past decades for more equality. Some women even enjoy being used as object in videos or sex objects; this means they don’t mind these kinds of videos being published, but at the same time we are used to seeing women half naked, but at the same time many people know the difference between media and real life.

Although there’s a trend over past decades for more equality men are represented as dominant, tall, good look person but disrespectful towards women and exploiting women.

Even in the video of ‘pimp’ of 50  cent the costumes for women was terrible and in one scene he holds a women a dog lead this destroys the equality between men and women because this represents mean controlling the women with the lead, women in this video are dressed in short shorts, underwear. The camera angles on women are close ups on women and revealing low angle shots to show certain body parts of the women. The lyrics suggest that women are cheap with swear words for example, ‘fucking with me.’ The setting is set in a bedroom, swimming pool, big house and glorious settings to show how wealthy the man is. In a scene women are dressing him up like they are is slaves.

Many people of the public are not so happy with these kind of videos on the internet or on TV therefore I write on behalf of the public to all women in the media and all costume designers to take this report as a request to stop producing these kind of videos, as many youngsters are getting influenced by these videos and are not succeeding in their exams and education. The future generation is in your hands

El fin de semana pasado fui al parque en Northolt con mis amigos porque hacia sol y era mi cumpleanos. Todos teninan quience anos. Me gustan mucho mis amigos porque son de buen humor y amables. Kobiha tiene quience anos y tiene el pelo negro y lis. Me llevo bein con ella porque es muy amitosa. Yamini tiene quience anos y tele el pelo negro y ojos marranes es muy alta y Delgado es muy generoasa pore so formal. Sarjitha es muy paciente pore so sincere. Tiene el pelo negro y rizado. Juegamos al futbol y charlatmos. Lo pase fenomenal porque fue muy graciosa.

Los jovenes tienen muchas problemas hay en diaper creo que el problema mas grandee s la presion a sacar buenas notaspara ir al la Universidad pero la Universidad es muy caro. Sin embargo es muy dificil encontrar un trabajo porque hay mucho paro mr preo cupa mucho.

Despues se examines me gustaria visitiar espana con mis amigos y mi familia porque hace sol. Voy a ir a espana porque quiero paso bein.
